FOLK & FOLK-ROCK

In this department you will find a variety of recordings selected from our main database of over 12,500 worldwide available titles. The world of ‘Folk’ is a huge and vast one, a world encompassing hundreds of years of music. But our preferences are for the more contemporary acts, sharing a love of Enya, while happily championing such 70’s acts such as Steeleye Span & Bridget St John to the more happening bands such as Bluehorses & Cordelia’s Dad. The delights and joys of Iona & Capercaillie’s music will never be far away, as will the heavier side of the genre with Celtic rockers Wolfstone and the likes. Then there’s emerging new talent such as the Lucy Lastic Band that will hopefully take the instrumental folk music world by storm, sooner or later, if we’ve got anything to do with it. We have created a separate ‘Folk & Folk-Rock’ department so that fans of the genre can go directly to the data they want to view instead of having to trawl through masses of other titles in the ‘General’ department, where it was located it in the past. This department is one that is still in its infant stages right now, but it is one which we will be building up as and when more interest comes along, because, like so much of what we do, the choice will be largely governed by your personal tastes as much as ours, rather than just everything and anything that moves in the ‘Folk’ and ‘Folk-Rock’ arenas. However, as always, we can take queries and orders relating to any items not listed here, with swift delivery times as standard.
